Another CSS Loader

CodePen is a great playground for front end web dev. I just finished making another css only loader.

I started from a .gif that I had and wanted to replicate. Doing it with css means one less http request, it’s hi-dpi already, and it’s way more fun/challenging! Here’s the gif:

The CSS version can easily be resized by changing one the SASS variable, and if you’re using Firefox, you can uncomment the $blockSize: 6vmin; to get viewport based sizing! Pretty awesome. Sadly, the vmin value isn’t working correctly in Chrome at the moment.

I Just finished linking together the rest of the site with the new WordPress blog! I ended up copying the default Twenty Ten theme directory, renaming it, and doing some editing to get it to look like the rest of my site.

I don’t know if I want to use WordPress for the front end too and make my own theme when I’ve already made my website theme. Kinda want to though. Then I can use the permalinks and all that other good stuff.

Tomorrow is my last day for my internship with Rokkan in New York City. I’m stoked to get home!
